My Visit to the Parliament of India
I was spending the summer of 2024 interning at TCS Research in New Delhi. Coincidentally, the 18th Lok Sabha had been called into session for a debate following the President’s Address.
I could hardly believe it when I learned that I had been invited to witness the debate. It felt surreal.

A friend from college was also in Delhi at the time, so I asked if he would like to join me. I felt the experience would be far more meaningful shared with someone, and he was just as excited as I was.
We had the “Speaker’s Gallery” pass! It granted us access to the building for the entire day and we had a lot of fun! Witnessing the machinery of India's Democracy up-close sent shivers down my spine.
At times, it felt almost surreal to be standing just inches away from some of the country’s most powerful political figures.
